PBR private motor vehicle scheme

extended TILL END OF MARCH 2015

By order of Legal Notice 86 of 2014, the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure wishes to advise the general public that use of the Priority Bus Route (PBR) by private motor vehicles has been extended for one (1) year, effective Tuesday April 1, 2014 to Tuesday March 31, 2015.

Private motor vehicle motorists on the PBR are advised that the conditions of use remain the same:

  • Monday to Friday from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • A minimum of three (3) persons inclusive of driver

Additionally, with the ongoing reconstruction of the St. Joseph Bridge and to alleviate increased congestion arising due to this project, motor vehicles are authorised to use the PBR from Belle Smythe Street St. Augustine, to Farm Road St. Joseph between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. commencing on April 1, 2014 and expiring on February 28, 2015.
