The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Naparima Mayaro Road from Mile End to Guppy Hill. This has become necessary in order to facilitate cement stabilization and road rehabilitation works which will commence on Tuesday 24th January, 2017 and is expected to be completed by Tuesday 21st March, 2017.

Please be advised that the hours of work for this project are as follows:

Weekdays (Monday-Friday): 9:00AM – 7:00PM
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday): 7:00AM – 2:00PM

In light of the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:-
  • Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers
  • Motorists should drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone
  • Comply with instructions from Police Officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic
  • Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site
  • Drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces
