Removal of Illegal Signs and Structures on Ministry Assets

Following on a cautionary Public Notice we issued in February, MOWI Estate Constables recently embarked on an exercise to remove illegal signage, advertisements, billboards, vending structures and other devices on Ministry assets: traffic lights, medians, bridges, walkovers, and road reserves.  Again, we wish to remind persons and organisations who affix, install or erect structures on Ministry assets without authorisation or engage in similar activity, that they desist immediately.

This exercise is being undertaken in the interest of road safety as these illegal advertising displays conflict with authorised traffic signs, are distracting to motorists, and deface the property of the Ministry.

The exercise involved several locations, such as: Bamboo #2, Freeport, and Tarouba, and will continue further in other districts as well.
