REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO THE MOTOR VEHICLES AND ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, CHAP. 48:50 ORDER MADE BY THE MINISTER UNDER SECTION 65 OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES AND ROAD TRAFFIC ACT
THE TRAFFIC CONTROL (OVERPASSES) ORDER, 2022
1. This Order may be cited as the Traffic Control (Overpasses) Order, 2022.
2. This Order comes into operation on Monday 17th January, 2022.
3. This Order does not apply to a person driving a bus of the Public Transport Service Corporation.
4. A person driving a vehicle proceeding in a northerly direction along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway shall not proceed from the Freeport Overpass, south entrance ramp onto the Freeport Overpass, north exit ramp between the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Monday to Friday, except on public holidays.
5. A person driving a vehicle proceeding in a northerly direction along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway shall not proceed from the Chase Village Overpass, south entrance ramp onto the Chase Village Overpass, north exit ramp between the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
6. A person driving a vehicle proceeding in a northerly direction along the Uriah Butler Highway shall not proceed from the Munroe Road Overpass, south entrance ramp onto the Munroe Road Overpass, north exit ramp between the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
7. A person driving a vehicle proceeding in a northerly direction along the Uriah Butler Highway shall not proceed from the Caroni Overpass, south entrance ramp onto the Caroni Overpass, north exit ramp between the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
8. A person driving a vehicle proceeding in a northerly direction along the Uriah Butler Highway shall not proceed from the Grand Bazaar Overpass, south entrance ramp onto the Grand BazaarOverpass, north exit ramp between the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
9. A person who contravenes this Order commits a traffic violation and is liable to a fine of three thousand dollars
