REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TO BAGO THE MOTOR VEHICLES AND ROA D TRA FFIC ACT , CHAP. 48:50 ORDER MADE BY THE MINISTER OF WORKS AND TRANSPORT UNDER SECTION 65 OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES AND ROAD TRAFFIC ACT

 

THE TRAFFIC CONTRO L (BELMONT, PORT-OF-SPA IN, ST. JAMES AND WOODBROO K) ORDER, 2020
This Order may be cited as the Traffic Control (Belmont, Port-of-Spain, St. James and Woodbrook) Order, 2020.
This Order commences on Monday 9th March, 2020.


PART 1 - BELMONT
A person driving a motor vehicle shall proceed in–
(a) a westerly direction only on Meyler Street, between Belmont Circular Road East and Pelham Street;
(b) a southerly direction only on Pelham Street, between Belmont Circular Road North and Clifford Street;
(c) an easterly direction only on St. Margaret’s Lane, between Belmont Circular Road East and Pelham Street; and
(d) a westerly direction only on Cadiz Road, between Archer Street and Queen’s Park Savannah,
between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.
No person shall park a motor vehicle on the northern side of Cadiz Road, between Archer Street and Queen’s Park Savannah during
the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.
PART II - PORT-OF-SPA IN
(1) No person shall park a motor vehicle on–
(a) the southern side of Queen Street, between Frederick Street and St. Vincent Street;
Traffic Control (Belmont, Port-of-Spain, St. James and Woodbrook) Order, 2020 180
(b) Independence Square North and Independence Square South; and
(c) Knox Street, between Abercromby Street and Pembroke Street,
between the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m., and 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.
(2) No person shall park a motor vehicle or trailer or place a container on Queen Street, between St. Vincent Street and
Richmond Street, between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.
PART III - ST. JAMES
A person driving a motor vehicle shall not enter Finland Street from Vidale Street.
No person shall park a motor vehicle on–
(a) the northern side of Finland Street, between Ethel Street and Vidale Street; and
(b) the western side of Clarence Street.
PART IV - WOODBROO K
A person driving a motor vehicle shall not turn right from Belle Smythe Street to Warren Street, between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00
p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.
No person shall park a motor vehicle on–
(a) De Verteuil Street, between Warren Street and Ariapita Avenue–
(i) on the eastern side, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and
(ii) on the western side, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; and

(b) Alberto Street–
(i) on the eastern side, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; and
(ii) on the western side, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
PART V - GENERA L
A person who contravenes this Order commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding three thousand
dollars and to imprisonment for three months.
Without prejudice to any other liability incurred by the commission of a summary offence, vehicles found parked in contravention of this
Order, may be removed by a member of the Police Service and impounded and dealt with in accordance with section 108(1)(b) of the
Motor Vehicle and Road and Traffic Act.
