REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO ORDER MADE BY THE MINISTER OF WORKS AND TRANSPORT UNDER SECTION 65 OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES AND ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, CHAP. 48:50
1. This Order may be cited as the Traffic Control (Port-of-Spain) Order, 2020.
2. This Order shall commence at 6.00 a.m. on Monday 2nd March, 2020.
3. Parking is prohibited on – the northern and southern sides of Independence Square North, between
Edward Street and St. Vincent Street; the eastern and western sides of St. Vincent Street between Treasury
Street and Independence Square North; the southern side of Treasury Street between St. Vincent Street and
Edward Street; and the eastern and western sides of Edward Street between Independence Square North and Treasury Street.

A person who contravenes this Order commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of three thousand dollars and imprisonment for three months.
Without prejudice to any other liability incurred by the commission of a summary offence, vehicles found parked in contravention of this Order, may be removed by the Police and impounded and dealt with in accordance with
section 108(1)(b) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act.
