The B1/1 Cumuto Tumpuna Road Cumuto project was facilitated by the Bridges, Landslips and Traffic Management Unit under the Bridges Reconstruction Programme (BLT). The original structure was a single lane temporary Bailey Bridge which needed to be replaced with a two lane structure.
SCOPE OF WORKS
- Construction of a new bridge that would allow two-lane traffic (previously single lane)
- Construction of a new road (40m) and roadside drains
- River works (mass concrete lining and galvanized gabions along the channel)
- Construction of two sidewalks and other pedestrian safety infrastructure
