Windy Hill Road and Drainage Works Packages 1, 2 and 3


Windy Hill Road was previously an agricultural road paved with oil sand thus creating an uncomfortable driver experience. The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) through its Programme for Upgrading of Roads Efficiency (PURE) Division, has embarked on a road rehabilitation initiative designed to bridge the infrastructural gap and provide much-needed relief to the community of Windy Hill and environs.

SCOPE OF WORKS

  • Construction of reinforced concrete covered box drains

  • Construction of reinforced concrete open box drains

  • Construction of reinforced sidewalk on grade

  • Construction of reinforced concrete box culverts

  • Construction of RCCP culvert

  • Construction of Kerb and Slipper drains

  • Reconstruction of roadway (Inclusive of Road widening, strengthening and paving works.)

  • Sidewalk installation for pedestrian safety
  • Proper drainage channels to reduce flooding along Windy Hill Road

  • Improved level of service for motorists traversing the roadway
