PERSONS WITH DISABILITY PARKING PERMIT
The Ministry of Works and Transport, as part of its ongoing effort toward modernising the motor vehicles and road traffic laws, is leading a transformative initiative to ensure the rights and enhance the accessibility for persons with disabilities. As such, the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chap. 48:50 has been amended to include The Motor Vehicles Road Traffic (Persons with Disability Parking Permit) Regulations, 2024.
These Regulations are a significant step toward ensuring full and effective participation in society for persons with disabilities by providing them with designated and accessible parking spaces that are identified by the placement of the International Symbol of Access.
Persons with permanent or temporary disabilities will now have full access to these parking spaces by the use of authorized Disability Parking Permit issued by the Licensing Division.
As we envision a more inclusive society that promotes the right and adheres to international best practices, the operationalisation of the new Disability Parking Permit Regulations ensures robust and fair policies and criteria for the ease of identifying the authorised user of designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities.

APPLICATION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITY PARKING PERMIT(S)
Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Persons with Disability Parking Permit) Regulations, 2024
Persons or Organisations wishing to apply for a Disability Parking Permit must complete and submit an application form, with their relevant supporting documents, as indicated in the forms attached below.
All applications MUST be submitted with a copy of the receipt in accordance with the required fees. Payments can be made at any Licensing Office:
Fees for the issue, renewal or a duplicate disability parking permit are as follows:
- Disability Parking Permit (Individual) $150.00
- Disability Parking Permit (Visitor) $150.00
- Disability Parking Permit (Entity, Organisation or Corporation) $200.00
- Duplicate Disability Parking Permit $75.00
