                        MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT-SINGAPORE SHARES BEST PRACTICES
                                                      WITH TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
 
On Tuesday 7th March, 2017 Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Works and Transport met with a delegation from the Ministry of Transport-Singapore with the intent on strengthening transport cooperation between both nations across all transportation sectors.
 
The delegation from Singapore which was led by Mr. Yap Ong Heng, Senior Advisor and Special Envoy of Coordinating Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr. Khaw Boon Wan of Singapore, engaged in a lengthy discussion with Minister Sinanan on matters related to bilateral maritime relations and other topical issues concerning transport developments.
 
Further to the meeting with Minister Sinanan the delegation engaged with additional discussions with the Ministry’s Executive team and key stakeholders including PTSC, the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, and the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority, where they shared best practices regarding their highly developed transportation network.
 
Mr. Yap Ong Heng of Singapore gave his commitment towards continued dialogue with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and to assist where needed with the review of the National Transportation Plan in the interest of all citizens.
