Roadworks (Westbound and Eastbound Sections of the Beetham Highway)
The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) in partnership with the Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) wishes to advise the public (motorists/residents/pedestrians) that works on the following culverts along the Beetham Highway will commence on Saturday 27th May, 2017 and is scheduled to end on Sunday 28th May, 2017: • Beetham Culvert #3 (westbound and eastbound sections) - located 700 m west of the entrance to the Beetham Landfill) • Beetham Culvert #5 (westbound and eastbound sections) - located 165 m east of the entrance to the Beetham Landfill) There will be two phased diversions in place affecting eastbound traffic and two phased diversions in place affecting westbound traffic in the vicinity of Beetham Culvert #5 during this period. These diversions will result in the reduction from three (3) lanes to two (2) lanes at designated sections of the Beetham Highway in both directions. Motorists are further advised to: • Beware of heavy construction equipment in and around the construction zone; • Proceed with extreme caution; • Observe all temporary directional signage provided on the approaches to the site; and • Comply with instructions issued by police officers on site to facilitate the free flow of traffic. All precautions are being taken by the MOWT, NIDCO and its contractor to guarantee proper Health, Safety and Environmental Standards are maintained.
