TRAFFIC PLAN IN CHAGUANAS- DECEMBER 2011

COMMENCEMENT DATE: 5TH DECEMBER 2011


 1. Major Changes: Removal of traffic signal at Gaston Street / Southern Main Road intersection

New traffic flows:

Southern Main Road will be one-way westbound between La Clave Street and De Verteuil Street
All eastbound traffic on the Chaguanas Main Road must exit onto De Verteuil Street. From here, John Street (which is one-way eastbound) and Penco Street may be used to access Chaguanas East, Montrose etc.
Gaston Street will be one-way northbound between the Southern Main Road and John Street
Henry Street will be one-way southbound between the Southern Main Road and John Street
Smith Street one-way northbound between the Southern Main Road and John Street

Major Changes: Removal of traffic signal at Uriah Butler Highway Ramps/ Chaguanas Main Road intersection

New traffic flows:

No right turn from Highway exit ramp onto Chaguanas Main Road eastbound. Persons wishing to head eastbound must travel to Trial Street and continue along Yard Street to access the Chaguanas Main Road
No right turn from the Chaguanas Main Road onto the Highway entrance ramp. Persons wishing to exit onto the Highway must continue westbound along the Chaguanas Main Road and exit via Yard Street (via Trial Street) to the Chaguanas Main Road or to Mulchan Seuchan Road.

Major Changes: No cross traffic from Marc Street to Trial Street
New traffic flows:

All motorists travelling north along Marc Street must turn left onto the Chaguanas Main Road. Motorists can access the Highway, Chaguanas East etc. via Yard Street as shown.
