What We Do

The major duties and responsibilities of the Construction Division are:
 

• To develop, implement and monitor statutory and regulatory standards for building designs and construction; 
• To ensure the safety of buildings;
• To be the main consultant providing consultancy and advisory services to the government on public buildings;
• To plan and manage the design, construction and rehabilitation of public buildings and facilities;
• To plan and manage the restoration of historical buildings and sites to safeguard Trinidad and Tobago's historical heritage;
• To provide building design consultancy and contract administration and project management services for the implementation of major building projects;
