Mandillon River Project was undertaken by the Drainage Division's Central District as part of its 2021 Drainage Desilting projects. The project supports the Drainage Division's committed to its mandate to develop and maintain main water courses and irrigation systems across Trinidad.
Scope of Works
The works entailed the desilting, clearing, cleaning & embankment Works of 2.4 km along the UBH Northbound to Hermitage Road (Union Village Community Center), Claxton Bay.
Benefits of the Project
The Division has been actively engaged in desilting works to ensure that major water courses are cleared during the dry season to prevent excessive runoff or flooding.
