The San Juan River Project was undertaken by the Drainage Division's Central District as part of its 2021 Drainage Desilting Programme. The project supports the Drainage Division's committment to its mandate to develop and maintain main water courses and irrigation systems across Trinidad.

Benefits of the Project
The Division has been actively engaged in desilting works to ensure that major water courses are cleared during the dry season to prevent excessive runoff or flooding.
