The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Eastern Main Road from Thomas Street to Railway Road, Arouca. This disruption will commence Friday 28th July, 2023 and is expected to be completed on Monday 31st July, 2023 at 6PM.
This has become necessary to facilitate Culvert Reconstruction Works. Note: Please be advised that only local traffic would be permitted within the work zone. Motorists heading Westbound:
- Heavy T vehicles would be diverted via Golden Grove Road
- Light weight vehicles would be diverted via Thomas Street and Railway Road Motorists heading Eastbound:
- Heavy T vehicles would be diverted via Trincity Central Road
- Light weight vehicles would be diverted via Railway Road and Thomas Street Considering the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:
- Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers
- Motorists should drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone
- Comply with instructions from Police Officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic
- Drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces
- Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site
