What We Do

he roles of the Traffic Management Branch are as follows:

To ensure a safe and efficient movement of goods and people through the road network within the existing infrastructure via engineering, education and enforcement strategies
To provide all markings, signs, road reflectors, traffic signals and longitudinal safety barriers on highways in order to make them safer to traverse
To provide or install safe spaces for crossing and pedestrian use
To bring road safety information and training to the public
To draft traffic control regulations for temporary and permanent traffic schemes
To place traffic signs, road markings and traffic signals to assist in enforcement and to make the road network user friendly
To advise all private and public organizations on all road transport related issues
