Changes to Services Offered at the Caroni, Wrightson Road and San Fernando Licensing Offices

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to inform the general public of the changes to services offered at the Licensing Offices that takes effect from Monday 8th June, 2020:

  • Used Car Dealers will be exempted from the use of the existing Appointment System. Dealers are now required to utilise special arrangements made by the Transport Commissioner when visiting the Caroni, Wrightson Road and San Fernando Licensing Offices. A specialised Access Card along with other pertinent information will be given to each dealer by the Transport Officers assigned to Vehicle Registration on their next visit.

  • Non-Dealers or Individuals are required to continue to utilise the existing Appointment System to register vehicles. This service is usually completed same day and is offered on Friday’s Only.

  • An additional Telephone booking hotline has been added (612-2701). This brings the total to three numbers: 612-2700/612-2701/612-2710. All Calls for appointments must be made between the hours 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Alternately, customers can also utilize the Online/ Internet Booking option via this link : https://www.picktime.com/licensingappointment.

In keeping with the nationwide mandate to implement and maintain preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), the Transport Division (Licensing), will continue its schedule of services at all locations. Persons conducting transactions at the Caroni, Port of Spain and San Fernando Licensing Offices are asked to be guided by the list of services and the dates of services listed in the tables below, which will be implemented until further notice.

Service will continue at normal working hours at all Licensing locations (Monday- Friday, 8 am to 4:15 pm); however, the Officer in charge reserves the right to implement measures where necessary to mitigate congestion.
