Minister of Works and Infrastructure, the Honourable Jearlean John, recently conducted a series of site visits across South Trinidad to assess infrastructure conditions and identify areas requiring attention. Minister John was accompanied by Member of Parliament for Fyzabad, Davendranath Tancoo, officials from the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) and members of the Ministry’s technical team. As part of the engagements, the Minister also met with officials from Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago (1978) Limited to discuss matters related to infrastructure development.
The visits provided an opportunity for the Minister and technical officials to examine concerns firsthand, engage with stakeholders and discuss the appropriate interventions needed at each location. These community visits form part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to remain responsive to infrastructure needs, strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders and ensure that issues affecting residents and communities are identified and addressed.
