The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago recently hosted high-level discussions with a senior delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The visit formed part of the Government’s ongoing international outreach aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and attracting strategic investment. The Honourable Jearlean John, Minister of Works and Infrastructure, hosted the engagement, which also included participation by the Honourable Saddam Hosein, Minister of Land and Legal Affairs and Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. During the visit, the delegation conducted site visits to areas of interests including the Invaders Bay Development Project, the Port of Point Lisas and the Couva Children’s Hospital, gaining first-hand insight into priority areas for development.

The visit underscored Trinidad and Tobago’s openness to international partnership and its readiness for investment, anchored by the Government’s Revitalisation Blueprint. This ambitious, multi-sector infrastructure plan encompasses more than 129 projects designed to drive economic diversification, strengthen national resilience and create sustainable employment opportunities.

These discussions laid a strong foundation for deeper collaboration that supports long-term national development and expanded economic opportunity for citizens.
