The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, through its Programme for Upgrading Roads Efficiency (PURE) Unit, has been executing a series of upgrades along Blanchisseuse Road (Chainage 15+700 to 17+000) to improve safety and reliability for all road users. Earlier works included reinforcing the roadway with durable materials to extend its lifespan, reshaping, re-grading, and paving for smoother travel and better drainage, as well as clearing crossings to improve water flow and reduce the risk of flooding.
Building on these improvements, the Ministry is now installing new guardrails along this winding stretch of road. These additions will provide vital protection for motorists, enhance road safety, and ensure that the rehabilitation works already completed continue to serve the public effectively. Together, these improvements strengthen our nation’s infrastructure while delivering safer, more dependable access for the public.
