TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS

Adopt and implement the necessary Precautions :

  • Sanitize surfaces and the  environment

  • Cover your coughs and sneezes

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer

  • Cover your nose and mouth with disposable tissue when you cough or sneeze. Discard the tissue immediately

  • Cough and sneeze  into the crook of your elbow if you do not have a tissue

  • Avoid close contact with people who have flu-like symptoms

  • If you develop fever, cough or have difficulty breathing after coming from a country with the COVID-19, please seek medical attention at the nearest health institution

  • Continue to self-monitor & family members (monitor yourself & family members)

  • Acknowledge the serious nature of the pandemic but don’t panic to the degree of paranoia

  • Adopt social distancing, self-isolation and quarantine, if necessary

 
VERIFY THE CREDIBILITY OF INFORMATION

  • Verify the credibility of information by visiting official websites and social media pages of Government Ministries.

  • Distinguish between facts versus fake news: Verify facts before Re-sharing or Retweeting on social media. Avoid sharing fake news

  • Keep abreast of the updates on television stations, official websites and social media pages of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Communications

SOCIAL DISTANCING
Social distancing is about reducing how closely you interact with people in your day-to-day life

  • Avoid shaking hands

  • Avoid crowds

  • Stand several feet from other people and

  • Stay home if you feel sick and inform your supervisor/employer

  • Work from home, if possible, in keeping with set Human Resource policies

 
SELF-ISOLATION

  • If you think you are sick or have symptoms of COVID-19, it is advised that you isolate for 14 days and self-monitor in order to reduce contact with other family members at home.

QUARANTINE

  • Contact the health centres / officials if you think you have symptoms of COVID-19

  • Health Officials will test persons for COVID-19  and quarantine accordingly
