RELEASE DATE: 02 Nov 2022

On Wednesday 2nd November, 2022 Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Works and Transport was present at the Sod Turning Ceremony for the Construction of The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at the Northern Lands of the Piarco International Airport.

In delivering remarks, Minister Sinanan commented, “Today’s sod turning is one facet of the intended build-out by the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago of the Piarco Aeropark, a future aero city, planned for 168 acres located east of BWIA Boulevard and north of Piarco International Airport. The Ministry of Works and Transport recognizes that the airport sector is a powerful engine of economic growth and opportunity in local communities. To this end, the Authority will develop and continue to lease land in a transparent structured manner in keeping with the planned guidelines of the proposed AERO Park as further initiatives are finalised in the areas of cargo operation, retail offices, and car rentals.”

The Ministry looks forward to the final launch of this new hotel establishment.
