The A.P.T. James has successfully completed a comprehensive maintenance programme, following dry-docking on the AMT Goliath at the National Marine Maintenance Services Company Limited. The scope of works included critical hull maintenance, sandblasting and repainting, propulsion and engine servicing, as well as extensive safety inspections and system testing. These activities were carried out to ensure the vessel meets the required operational and safety standards supporting its long-term performance, reliability and efficiency.
With maintenance now complete, the APT James has been undocked, officially resuming passenger service as of January 9, 2026. This return to service ensures continued connectivity between Trinidad and Tobago on the inter-island se bridge. The continued reliability of the ferry service plays a vital role in ensuring safe, dependable and accessible maritime transport for citizens and visitors alike.
