On 26th February 2019, Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan Minister of Works and Transport, the Honourable Stuart Young, Minister of National Security and other Senior Officials of the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and the Civil Aviation Authority conducted a walkthrough of the Piarco International Airport. This visit focused on the existing security mechanisms with a view to enhancing and improving all security features.
The Airports Authority in its capacity as manager of the nation’s Airports is committed to ensuring safe and secure aviation operations for the benefit of all stakeholders. The Authority has been recently recognized by the Airports Council International for its contribution in helping airports around the world in achieving excellence in safety and security by promoting the need for regulatory compliance and adherence to international best practice.
