The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise holders of Route Two Maxi Taxi Priority Bus Route (PBR) Permits for the First Half of 2019 (Jan-June) will be held from 1st November, 2018 to 15th November, 2018 from 9AM to 2PM as follows:-
The renewals will be held at the Priority Bus Route Unit, Ground Floor, Main Administrative Building Ministry of Works and Transport Corner Richmond and London Streets, Port of Spain.
PROCESS TO RENEW MAXI TAXI PRIORITY BUS ROUTE (PBR) PERMIT
The Ministry of Works and Transport would like to advise the general public of the process to renew Maxi Taxi Priority Bus Route Permit:-
STEP 1 - Owner proceeds to the Clerical Officer to sign Renewal Application Form
STEP 2 - Owner proceeds to the verification Officer with the relevant documents:-
Certified copy of ownership (Valid for 1 year from date of issue)
Valid Inspection Certificate
Operators Permit: (Operators of large maxi taxis should possess operators permits to operate maxi taxis of any class)
The operator’s permit must also contain relevant and visible stamp and signature
Defensive Driving Certificate for all nominated driver’s
Valid Taxi Badge
Valid Driver’s Permit
STEP 3 - Owner proceeds to Data Entry Clerk to verify and update his/her information
STEP 4 - Owner proceeds to clerical Officer to sign generated form
STEP 5 - Owner proceeds to Cashier for payment fee as outlined in the Regulations
($600.00 per Second Half of 2018)
STEP 6 - Owner proceeds to the Clerical Officer and signs Renewal Register for PBR Permit
NOTES
Holders of Route 2 Maxi Taxi PBR Permits must be present to transact business for:- the renewals of Maxi Taxi PBR Permits and Change of Drivers on the PBR Permit
Owners can submit a request for a change of registered driver (s), if required, please ensure that all new drivers are present to facilitate the taking of photographs at the site
No Notary Public/No Powers of Attorney/ No Receipts
Originals and copies of all documents must be provided
No parking is available at the Renewal location
