Fixed Penalty Notices
Reference is made to the Public Notice of the Ministry of Works and Transport, which was published, in the daily press on 14th and 17th January, 2021 advising drivers who had NOT PAID nor CONTESTED Fixed Penalty Notices (Traffic Tickets) issued from May 27, 2020 to August 31, 2020.
Recipients of traffic tickets whose names are listed on the Ministry’s website are advised that to date, the Licensing Authority has not received any correspondence, in writing, providing reasons or showing cause as to why the Licensing Authority should not impose the intended administrative sanctions.
Please be advised that the Licencing Authority shall impose the following administrative sanctions in accordance with section 88A of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chap. 48:50 within seven (7) days of the publication of this Notice

Cease all transactions in relation to the driver of the said motor vehicle, which was involved in the commission of the traffic violation.

Cease all transactions in relation to the motor vehicle, which was involved in the commission of the traffic violation.
These imposed sanctions will be immediately lifted upon the payment of the applicable escalated fixed penalty sum, which represents the fixed penalty plus one-half of the initial fixed penalty. This sum shall be paid at any a pproved TTPOST Location.
