Not Paid Nor Contested Fixed Penalty Notices November 2021- December 2022

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise drivers who have NOT PAID nor CONTESTED Fixed Penalty Notices (Traffic Tickets) issued during the periods November 1-30, 2021 and January 1 - December 31, 2022 that under the provisions of Section 88A of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Act, 2017 (Act No. 9 of 2017), the Licensing Authority intends to impose administrative sanctions against the drivers of the motor vehicles used in the commission of the traffic violations.

Introduction of the Online Provisional Permit System

The public is advised that the roll-out of the online application process as the new method to apply for a Provisional Permit will take effect May 01st, 2023.
