The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary closure of Bridge B 1/14 Plum Mitan Road, Manzanilla in the vicinity of the 13.3km mark. This has become necessary to execute the urgent assembly of a Bailey Bridge at this location. This exercise is scheduled to be done on Thursday 22nd June between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.
The Public is advised to seek alternative routes during this period as there will be no thoroughfare for vehicular traffic during these times. Considering the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:
- Persons living East of the bridge can freely access the Eastern Main Road via Plum Mitan Road
- Persons living west of the bridge can utilize the Cunapo Southern Main Road to access the Eastern Main Road via Gadjahar Trace or alternatively, back to the Eastern Main Road, Sangre Grande.
