Temporary Traffic Disruption - along the Papourie Road, Barrackpore 11.0km mark

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the general public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Papourie Road, Barrackpore 11.0km mark, in the vicinity of Congo Hill. Works will commence on Monday 27 th February 2023 at 9:30 a.m. to Sunday 05th March 2023, at 4:00 p.m. This is necessary to conduct slope stabilization works.

During this time, there would be moderate periods of traffic stoppage. An alternative route is available through Congo Hill Trace, onto Pierre Trace and vice versa (refer to map attached). The public is advised to utilize the alternative routes and comply with the following directions:

 Proceed with extreme caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
 Comply with instructions issued by Police Officers, Traffic Wardens or Flag persons, where necessary, in order to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
 Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the work site.
