The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Cunjal Road 1.2 km mark, Barrackpore (between the Junction of Battan Trace and Cunjal Road and Junction of Realize Road and Cunjal Road). This is necessary in order to facilitate Culvert Reconstruction Works, which will be conducted during the period of Wednesday 23rd February 2022 to Monday 7th March 2022 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please be advised the stated roadway shall accommodate local traffic only on Wednesday 23rd February 2022.
In light of the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:
• Observe all directional signs and barriers.
• Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
• Utilize the roadway for local traffic only for the stated date.
•To bypass this road coming from north via the following: bypass the Junction at Realize Road and Cunjal Road, continue along Realize Road to the Junction at Realize Road and Cumuto Road, continue along Cumuto to the Junction at Cumuto Road and Battan Trace, continue unto Battan Trace to the Junction at Battan Trace and Cunjal Road and vice versa for commuters coming from south (Diagram 1).
• Please be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the work zone.
