The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Morne Roche Quarry Road 4.00 km – 4.50 km mark, Williamsville. This is necessary in order to facilitate Piling and Shoring Works on a section of the Roadway (See map below) Works are expected to commence on Monday 15th November, 2021 until Saturday 4th December, 2021.
The hours of work are as follow:
Monday to Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00p.m.
Saturday and Sunday - 9:00a.m. 5:00p.m
Traffic during this period would be limited to a single-lane along that section of the work zone, or use of an alternative route, if desired.
In light of the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:

Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.

Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.

Be aware of heavy equipment in the work zone entering and exiting the site.

Motorists should drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution, on approaching the work zone.
