TRAFFIC DISRUPTION ALONG THE WESTERN MAIN ROAD (WESTBOUND)
IN THE VICINITY OF WESTMALL AND SUPERPHARM
The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) in partnership with the Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) wishes to advise motorists/pedestrians that there will be intermittent traffic disruptions along the shoulder/layby of the westbound section of Western Main Road and the deceleration lane from the westbound section of Western Main Road to Columbus Boulevard in the vicinity of West Mall and Superpharm. This has become necessary to facilitate cleaning of the drains in this area.
Works will be executed between the hours 9:00AM to 5:00PM on Tuesday 10th November, 2020 continuing to Saturday 14th November, 2020. During this time, traffic will be directed accordingly by police officers on site.
Motorists are advised to comply with the following:
* Proceed with caution and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone.
* Observe all temporary directional signage provided on the approaches to the site.
* Instructions issued by police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
* Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
All precautions are being taken by the MOWT, NIDCO and its Contractor to guarantee that proper Health, Safety and Environmental Standards are maintained. We thank you for your cooperation and regret any inconvenience caused.
