The Traffic Warden Division of the MOWT was formed under Section 10A of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act 48:50 and was introduced to the public on March 11, 2011. Sangre Grande is the most recent District to be serviced by Traffic Wardens, and the district of Valencia will, in the future, have its own Traffic Warden Base/Unit, however in the interim Traffic Wardens stationed at Sangre Grande will also service the Valencia District. Eighteen (18) Traffic Wardens will service Sangre Grande and Valencia Districts.
