EXTENSION OF MORATORIUM FOR THE NEW WINDSCREEN AND WINDOW TINT REGULATIONS, 2020
The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the general public that the moratorium on the operationalization of the new Windscreen and Window Tint Regulations, 2020 has been further extended to December 31, 2021.
This extension was deemed necessary due to the current COVID-19 Public Health Regulations and restrictions, which limit the movement of persons and the closure of non-essential business operations, inclusive of tint shops and auto garages. The moratorium has granted an additional period of approximately seven (7) months, with effect from June 06, 2021 and expires on December 31, 2021.
Given the current circumstances, it is anticipated that a further extension of the moratorium will permit owners of motor vehicles to become compliant with the provisions of the amended tint law before it is fully operationalized.
