In the ongoing national response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Honourable Stuart Young, Minister of National Security, announced at a Press Conference held on Friday 27^th March, 2020 that with immediate effect, all licensed public transport/ public service vehicles are to operate at a 50% passenger seating capacity. This new measure applies to the following public transport/ public service vehicles:

* PTSC Buses;
* Maxi Taxis;
* Omnibuses;
* Water Taxis;
* Taxis or Vehicles for Hire and
* Inter-Island Ferry Vessels 

The Ministry of Works and Transport is joining the Ministry of Communication and the Ministry of Health in advising citizens to practice social responsibility by adopting these precautionary measures to safeguard the health and safety of all citizens against COVID-19.

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to inform the general public that in keeping with the nationwide mandate to implement preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), the Transport Division (Licensing), will implement a schedule of services at three of its locations.
