Extension of the Validity of expired Driver's Permits and Licensing Documents

The amendments to the MVRTA took effect on 22nd December, 2020 and provide for a further extension of time as follows:(1) any transfer of vehicle registration required to be completed on or before 31st December, 2020 may be completed on or before 31st March, 2021; and (2) the validity of driver’s permits, taxi driver licences, badges, certificates or other documents issued by the Licensing Division which expired on or before 31st December 2020 shall be deemed valid until 31st March, 2021.

Temporary Closure of Wrightson Road

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Wrightson Road, between Edward Street and Sackville Street, from Friday 9th October, 2020 at 9PM to Monday 12th October, 2020 at 4AM. This has become necessary in order to facilitate the installation of Cladding on the Water Taxi Pedestrian Overpass.
