Unpaid or Uncontested Fixed Penalty Notices

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise drivers who have NOT PAID nor CONTESTED Fixed Penalty Notices (Traffic Tickets) issued to them over the period May 27, 2020 to December 31, 2021, that under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act (MVRTA), Chap. 48:50, Section 88A, the Licensing Authority intends to impose administrative sanctions against them as a result of the following:

Instruments of Appointment to Newly Reconstituted Trinidad and Tobago National Road Safety Council

On Monday March 28, 2022, the Minister of Works and Transport, Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan distributed Instruments of Appointment to the members of the newly reconstituted Trinidad and Tobago National Road Safety Council.  Developed to spearhead a more integrated approach to road safety, this multi-sectoral body will work toward intensifying the national response to reduce road fatalities and serious injuries.

The reconstitution of this Council serves as another step in the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize systems to bring about a safer environment for drivers, passengers and pedestrians in Trinidad and Tobago.
