The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the general public that the PBR is NOT open to unauthorized vehicles.

The Ministry of Works and Transport is pleased to announce the  that bridge B2in1 Cunapo Southern Road, Sangre Grande was officially opened today, Saturday 28th September, 2019.

 

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the general public that the Priority Bus Route (PBR) will be opened to light motor vehicles ONLY from 7PM tonight until further notice

The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) has noted with much concern several incidents of theft and vandalism to river embankments across the country. This unlawful practice not only undermines the Drainage Division’s efforts to mitigate flooding but also poses a potential threat to lives and property across communities in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Ministry of Works and Transport  wishes to advise that Senator the Honourable Rohan Sinanan, Minister of Works and Transport has expanded the authorization for use of the  Priority Bus Route to 'H' vehicles (taxis) from Curepe to Mt. Hope Junctions only, from Monday 22nd July, 2019 until further notice.

The Ministry of Works and Transport, in partnership with Arrive Alive and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) launched the local arm of Global Road Safety Week which is being observed May 6th – 12th 2019. The week’s activities are championed by thousands of road safety advocates around the world who seek to highlight the need for effective leadership on both political and individual levels. Themed “#Speak Up for road safety”, this year’s agenda will focus on Pedestrian Road Safety in Trinidad and Tobago where the public will be engaged and educated on pedestrian best practices
